Cocke County
Early Intervention Services
are available through an excellent
center based program in Cocke County. The DCI Early
Intervention Services are offered to children through a facility in Parrotsville.
The Cocke County program in Newport
offers services and
programs for approximately 35 recipients and 40 staff members.
Services include
Supported Employment,
Enclaves, Sheltered Workshop opportunities, Work Adjustment, Transition
From School To Work, Early Intervention, Personal Assistance,
Community Supports,
Supported Living,
and Group Home.

Jefferson County has many opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. People in need of residential services, may choose to live in their
own home or apartment with support staff as needed, or they may choose to live in a group
home.
Services provided in
Jefferson County include Enclaves, Sheltered Workshop Opportunities, work
adjustment, transition from school to work, Community Supports, Supported
Living and Group Home.
People may request assistance in acquiring vocational skills or job
placement services where they can participate in paid work experiences. Training and supports are based upon an individuals support plan which
is developed by the person and the friends and support staff that he/she may choose.
